ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು,ಜುಲೈ,3,2024 (www.justkannada.in): ಅತ್ಯಾಧುನಿಕ ಕಟಿಂಗ್‌ ಟೂಲ್ಸ್‌ ತಯಾರಿಸುವ ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಕೊರಿಯಾದ ಜಾಗತಿಕ ಕಂಪನಿಯಾಗಿರುವ ವೈಜಿ-1, ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದಲ್ಲಿ , ₹1,245 ಕೋಟಿ ಬಂಡವಾಳ ಹೂಡಿಕೆ ಮಾಡುವುದಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸಿದೆ.
ಬಂಡವಾಳ ಹೂಡಿಕೆ ಆಕರ್ಷಿಸಲು ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಕೊರಿಯಾಕ್ಕೆ 5 ದಿನಗಳ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿರುವ ಬೃಹತ್‌ ಮತ್ತು ಮಧ್ಯಮ ಕೈಗಾರಿಕಾ ಸಚಿವ ಎಂ. ಬಿ. ಪಾಟೀಲ ನೇತೃತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿನ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಉನ್ನತ ಮಟ್ಟದ ನಿಯೋಗದ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಬುಧವಾರ ನಡೆದ ಸಮಾಲೋಚನೆ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಂಪನಿಯು ಈ ಘೋಷಣೆ ಮಾಡಿದೆ.
ʼಕರ್ನಾಟಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊರಿಯಾ ಭಾಷೆ ಕಲಿಸುವ ಮತ್ತು ತರಬೇತಿ ನೀಡುವ ಕೇಂದ್ರ, ಇಂಧನ ಆವಿಷ್ಕಾರ ಮತ್ತು ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನ ಪ್ರಗತಿ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅತ್ಯಾಧುನಿಕ ಸಂಶೋಧನೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರ (ಆರ್‌ಆ್ಯಂಡ್‌ಡಿ) ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಲಾಗುವುದುʼ ಎಂದು ಕಂಪನಿಯ ಚೇರ್ಮನ್‌ ಹೊ ಕ್ಯೂನ್‌ ಸಾಂಗ್‌ ಅವರು ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ʼಐಟಿ, ಎಲೆಕ್ಟ್ರಾನಿಕ್‌ ಸಿಸ್ಟಮ್ಸ್‌, ವೈಮಾಂತರಿಕ್ಷ ಹಾಗೂ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದ ಉದ್ದಿಮೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕವು ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೊದಲ ಸ್ಥಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವುದನ್ನು ಸಚಿವ ಪಾಟೀಲ ಅವರು ಕೊರಿಯಾದ ಕಂಪನಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಮನವರಿಕೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಟ್ಟರು. ಸೌರಶಕ್ತಿಯೂ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ರಾಜ್ಯವು ವಿಪುಲ ಪ್ರಮಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ನೈಸರ್ಗಿಕ ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲ ಹೊಂದಿದೆ. ವಿದ್ಯುತ್‌ ಚಾಲಿತ ವಾಹನ, ಎಲೆಕ್ಟ್ರಾನಿಕ್ಸ್‌ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ಮಾರ್ಟ್‌ಫೋನ್‌ ತಯಾರಿಕೆಗೆ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರ್ಕಾರವು ಗರಿಷ್ಠ ಪ್ರಮಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಉತ್ತೇಜನ ನೀಡುತ್ತಿದೆʼ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿದ್ಯುತ್‌ ಚಾಲಿತ ದ್ವಿಚಕ್ರ ವಾಹನಗಳ ಮಾರುಕಟ್ಟೆಯು ಗಮನಾರ್ಹವಾಗಿ ವಿಸ್ತರಣೆಗೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಕೊರಿಯಾದ ಕಂಪನಿಗಳ ಗಮನಕ್ಕೆ ತರಲಾಯಿತು.
ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಭಾರತದ ವಿವಿಧ ನವೋದ್ಯಮಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ₹1,162 ಕೋಟಿ ಹೂಡಿಕೆ ಮಾಡಿರುವ ಜಾಗತಿಕ ಗೇಮಿಂಗ್‌ ಕಂಪನಿ ಕ್ರಾಫ್ಟನ್‌ ಇಂಕ್‌, ಮುಂದಿನ 2 ರಿಂದ 3 ವರ್ಷಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಗೇಮಿಂಗ್‌ ಮತ್ತು ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ₹1,245 ಕೋಟಿ ಹೂಡಿಕೆ ಮಾಡುವುದಾಗಿ ನಿಯೋಗದ ಜೊತೆಗಿನ ಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬದ್ಧತೆ ತೋರಿದೆ. ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲಿನ ಗೇಮಿಂಗ್‌ ಎಂಜಿನಿಯರ್‌ ಗಳನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೇಮಕ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಕ್ರಾಫ್ಟನ್‌ ಕಂಪನಿಯು ಇಂಗಿತ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದೆ.
ಬೌದ್ಧಿಕ ಆಸ್ತಿ (ಐಪಿ) ಆಧಾರಿತ ಕ್ರೀಡೆ, ಇ-ಕ್ರೀಡೆಗಳ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಮತ್ತು ಮೊಬೈಲ್‌ ಫೋನ್‌ ಗೇಮಿಂಗ್‌ ಕುರಿತು ಪ್ರಮುಖವಾಗಿ ಚರ್ಚಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ಕೈಗಾರಿಕಾ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಸೆಲ್ವಕುಮಾರ್, ಆಯುಕ್ತೆ ಗುಂಜನ್ ಕೃಷ್ಣ, ವಿಧಾನ ಪರಿಷತ್ ಸದಸ್ಯ ಮಂಜುನಾಥ ಭಂಡಾರಿ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಇತರರು ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದರು.

India, 3rd July: Shri M.B. Patil, Minister for Large and Medium Industries and Infrastructure Development, Government of Karnataka, led strategic discussions with prominent Korean companies YG-1, Krafton Inc., Go Pizza, and HY Automotive Controls to bolster Karnataka's economic landscape across gaming, FMCG, and automotive sectors. The meetings were attended by Shri Selvakumar S, IAS, Principal Secretary, Department of Commerce and Industries, and Smt Gunjan Krishna, IAS, Commissioner for Industrial Development and Director, Department of Commerce and Industries.
Investment worth 150 million dollar was discussed during Shri M.B. Patil's meeting with YG-1 senior executives, including Mr. Ho-Keun Song, Mr. Seehan Song, Mr. Jeehan Song, and Mr. Yunkyun Yu, leading to mutually favorable agreements. YG-1, specializing in advanced cutting tools, already operates a manufacturing facility in Tumakuru Machine Tool Park (TMTP) in Karnataka. The discussions centered on YG-1's future plans in India and export strategies. Karnataka officials highlighted the state's strong manufacturing ecosystem, including TMTP, and emphasized the Industrial Policy's lucrative incentives and swift approvals. They also discussed opening a Korean language training center. Additionally, import duties from India to the US compared to Korea were discussed. The delegation led toured YG-1's R&D facility to understand their advanced technologies and assured full support for YG-1's future endeavors.
In the realm of digital entertainment and technology, Shri M.B. Patil engaged in fruitful discussions with senior executives from Krafton Inc. Krafton plans to open a gaming station in Karnataka and hire more engineers from India. They also highlighted their focus on game development across platforms and global studio acquisitions. Since 2021, Krafton has invested140 million dollars in Indian startups in esports, multimedia entertainment, content creation, and audio platforms. Discussions included AI integration in gaming, IP rights, and the growth of esports in India.
Shri M.B. Patil discussed Karnataka's FMCG ecosystem with Mr. Lim Jae-won, CEO of Go Pizza. Go Pizza targets over INR 150 crore in sales by Q1 next year in India, aiming to replicate Domino's success. The company intends to prioritize India moving forward and eyeing expansion in Bangalore by tripling factory size, with government support assured. The delegation invited Go Pizza to explore more opportunities in Karnataka, leveraging the state's conducive FMCG ecosystem and progressive policies.
HY Automotive Controls (HYAC) discussed their India expansion plans with Shri M.B.Patil, focusing on their project to incorporate in India and their search for approximately 3 acres of land near Bangalore for their facility. The decision to expand into India is driven by key customer requirements from Hyundai and Kia, aiming to establish India as a strategic export hub as an alternative to their current manufacturing base in China. With India's fast-growing auto market, HYAC sees significant opportunities for growth and expansion.
These engagements underline Karnataka's appeal as a premier investment destination, leveraging its robust industrial infrastructure, supportive policies, and skilled workforce to attract global enterprises across diverse sectors.
